According to the Caviar help center, Caviar Delivery Drivers appreciate tips as a way of recognizing excellent service and 100% of your tip goes directly to the delivery driver delivering your order.

At the checkout page, before selecting “Place Delivery Order,” you have the option of selecting a specific amount to tip your delivery driver.

Can Caviar Drivers See the Tip?

They can see the expected tip, but customers still have the option of removing it (speaking from experience).

“Since Caviar typically services higher-end restaurants, Caviar delivery drivers can expect more expensive orders. This means drivers will typically earn more per request and more in tips.”

Customers and deliverers agree that a tip should be around $4 for a typical order, according to a recent study from U.S. Foods, a foodservice distributor, which asked customers and food deliverers how they feel about using apps like Caviar, Instacart, Grubhub and UberEats, with an emphasis on tipping.

While tipping isn’t technically required — if you received good service then you should definitely pay it forward. Caviar Delivery Drivers are paid much less than restaurant servers so tips are greatly appreciated by them.
